Finally. Someone who gets it.
Assessment, Executive Functioning skills, IEP consulting, and counseling for families in the Central Valley who are tired of waiting for answers. Virtual or in-person.
When you work with me, here’s what you can expect:
A Real Conversation
Free consultation— I actually listen. No pitch, no pressure, no rushing you off the phone or video call.
Game Plan
Whether it’s testing, counseling, or examining your records and information, we’ll make a plan that is doable for you.
Debrief and Tools
Real recommendations and explanation for your real life— not a report that lives on a shelf and collects dust. No jargon. No mystery.
PARENTS!
You didn’t come this far just to keep guessing.
AS A PARENT, YOU KNOW…
Your kid is brilliant in the car, at the dinner table, building elaborate Lego cities at 11pm. Their brain is constantly going. But ask them to start a homework assignment? Remember to turn it in? Transition from one thing to the next without a meltdown?
That’s not attitude.
That’s executive functioning— and it’s one of the most misunderstood things I see in kids every single day.
You see it. You’ve always seen it.
You’ve bought every planner on Amazon. Your child has used exactly none of them.
The teacher says “they just need to apply themselves more”— and you’re nodding while internally screaming.
Your teen shuts down whenever you bring up school or any topic other than “Whaddya see on TikTok today?”
You sat through an hour IEP meeting and left with a folder full of jargon and zero idea what will actually be happening on Monday.
Or maybe it’s you— the adult who has always just “pushed through”— and you’re starting to wonder if that’s actually why you’re exhausted all the time.
You’re a little (okay, a lot) over it.
OR MAYBE…
Here’s what I want YOU to know
You found the right person. I’m a licensed educational psychologist who has sat in hundreds of IEP meetings, written in-depth reports, and spent years watching kids get missed by a system that struggles to keep up with the behavior changes in people.
I built The Knowledge Kite because your family deserves real answers— not another worksheet or one more “let’s wait and see.”
Whether your child needs a full evaluation, Executive Functioning skills that will actually stick, counseling that feels relatable and not like homework, or someone to translate what on earth the school just told you— I’ve got you. Even if you’ve tried everything else. Especially then.
But my child is too…

stuck
I’ve worked with kids with ADHD (and more impulsive than 8-week-old puppies), anxiety, depression reading disabilities, autism, moderate-to-severe intellectual disability, you name it! I have honed my skills in meeting people where they are and working from there.
I once had a teenage girl write me a thank you letter for being there for her. It touched my heart immensely.
That’s why I built this practice. To enhance what your child brings to me— not to cajole, harass, or try to stamp out the light that your child brings.
I’m Jenna. Mother, Coach, Jedi Master in the Making…
Ok, maybe not that last part…
I’ve worked with several types of learners. For almost two decades. In schools, in homes, during lunchtimes and in school yards playing basketball. I work to apply the best of what I’ve learned to my own children.
I am devoted to helping parents discover real tools to help their children and bring joy back into their homes.
I’m a mom, a school psychologist, a former ABA therapist who once spent months earning the trust of a kid who cried at every single session— and eventually became someone the child preferred over the whole rest of the team! I know what it takes to reach kids who’ve been told or treated like they’re the problem. They’re not.
They just haven’t had the right person in their corner yet.
Here’s how I can help.
A research-backed rating scale completed by parents and teachers that identifies exactly which executive function skills are below average — and which are strengths. Includes a written summary and a 45-minute feedback call.
Starting Price $375
EF Screener included before Week 1. An 8-week skills program for grades 3-5, capped at 6 students. Tailored to strengthen Executive Functioning skills, this group participates in fun activities to strengthen focus, self-control, planning, and task completion skills. Because it includes the EF Screener, we’re targeting what your child actually needs from day one.
FAQs
Is this different from what the school already does?
1
Yes— significantly. School evaluations answer one specific question: does your child qualify for special education services under California Ed Code?
Private evaluations answer a broader question: what is actually going on with my child, and what do we do about it? I am licensed to give diagnoses applicable to educational or vocational performance. Whatever is applicable, I will find— and you leave with a written report for you.
How do I get started?
2
I don’t bill insurance directly, but I can provide a Superbill after each service that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
How long does evaluation take?
3
Most basic evaluations involve one testing session (2-3 hours), a report turnaround of 2-3 weeks, and a 1-work feedback session where we walk through every finding together. From first contact to feedback session, most families are looking at 4-6 weeks.
My child already has an IEP— can you still help?
4
Absolutely. If your child has an IEP and things still aren’t clicking, a private evaluation or IEP consultation can tell you why, what’s missing, and exactly what you can work with the IEP team with at the next meeting.
What ages do you work with?
5
I work with children and teens for evaluation, Executive Functioning skills groups, and counseling. Adults are welcome for Executive Functioning Coaching or vocational counseling. If you’re not sure whether your child’s age is a fit, just reach— the free consultation call is the right place to figure that out together.
Do you work with adults?
6
Yes— for executive functioning coaching. If you’re an adult who has spent your whole life being told to “just try harder” and you’re starting to wonder if something else is going on, I’d love to talk. Executive challenges don’t disappear at 18.
What do counseling services— virtual or in-person— look like?
7
Above all, counseling is a space where your child can feel understood, supported, and not alone in what they’re going through.
Sessions—whether virtual or in person—are personalized and paced in a way that helps kids open up comfortably while also building meaningful skills. We focus on both emotional understanding and practical tools they can use in everyday life.
I partner closely with parents, offering guidance and insight along the way so you’re not left guessing how to help your child.
Confidentiality is handled thoughtfully. Children and teens are given space to share openly, while parents are kept informed in ways that support both trust and progress. Safety is always the top priority.
Many families find that counseling not only helps their child—but brings more calm, clarity, and connection to the whole family.
